Staffroom covers Reception through Year 6 in England (including EYFS), P1 through P7 in Scotland, and Years 1 through 6 in Wales. Full curriculum objectives are built in for the National Curriculum, Curriculum for Excellence, and Curriculum for Wales. Northern Ireland support is coming soon. If you teach outside the UK, you can select "International" during onboarding and manage your own subjects and objectives manually.

Yes. Staffroom runs in any modern web browser, so it works on iPads, Chromebooks, laptops, and desktops with no software to install. You can also add it to your home screen as an app for quick access. No IT department required.

Your plans and data are kept safe. After the trial, you will not be able to create or edit plans until you upgrade to Pro, but nothing is deleted. If you subscribe later, everything will be right where you left it. Data for inactive accounts is retained for 6 months.

Staffroom is built as a personal planning tool, giving individual teachers a clear, focused space to organise their week. When you need to share, you can export your weekly plans as professionally formatted PDF or Word documents. These are easy to print for your classroom folder, email to a teaching assistant, or hand to a supply teacher stepping in for the day.

Yes. You will need to choose a lead year group during setup, but objectives can be managed manually to cover multiple stages. The AI assistant also includes a year group selector, so you can switch context at any time or simply ask it to plan across year groups, for example "plan a maths lesson suitable for both Year 3 and Year 4".

No, and that is by design. Staffroom is first and foremost a planning app. The AI assistant is there to support, not lead. It can suggest lesson ideas, starters, differentiated activities, and learning intentions based on your objectives and year group, but you are always in control of what goes into your planner. Your professional judgement stays at the centre of every lesson.

About five minutes. We built Staffroom to be as simple and powerful as possible, taking the best parts of paper planners and combining them with the convenience of a modern app. The onboarding wizard walks you through choosing your curriculum, year group, and timetable. Once that is done, you can start dragging lessons into your week straight away.

This feature is on its way. We are building the ability to duplicate and adapt plans from previous terms, and it will be ready before the start of the 2026/27 academic year. In the meantime, the AI assistant can help you quickly rebuild and refresh plans for a new class.

Yes. Staffroom complies with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Your data is stored securely in the EU, and the AI assistant is specifically designed to never ask for or store pupil names or personal information. Full details are available on our privacy and transparency pages.

If you cancel your subscription, you keep full access until the end of your current billing period. After that, your data stays safe and you can resubscribe at any time to pick up where you left off. If you choose to delete your account entirely, all your data is permanently removed.

You find a Twinkl resource, then slot it into your Staffroom timetable alongside your curriculum objectives, notes, and everything else for the day.
